Friday 10th April 7.30pm | Taliesin
Inspired by author Caradoc Evans’ controversial collection of short-stories of the same name, this new dance theatre co-production sees Gwyn Emberton and his company of international dancers delve into the dark, turbulent, and mythical world of Manteg.
Audiences will be taken on the haunting but beautiful journeys of some of the book’s most memorable characters. The production combines powerful cinematic score by Benjie Talbott and Tic Ashfield with dynamic and intricate choreography.
2015 is the centenary of the book and My People is a celebration of one of Wales’ most beloved/hated books and revered/feared writers by a new choreographic voice in Welsh dance theatre.
“The music, choreography, and physical performances were brilliant, and were met with an exceedingly positive audience response” New Welsh Review
