Taliesin Cinema - The White Crow BBFC 12A Rating

Dir: Ralph Fiennes

UK, France 2019 2hrs 7mins

Ralph Fiennes, Oleg Ivenko, Adele Exarchopoulos, Chuplan Khamatova

In Ralph Fiennes' ambitious third film as a director, we follow young Russian ballet legend Rudolf Nureyev (played by dancer Oleg Ivenko) during the weeks leading-up to the defection of a man who placed his art far above anything else.

Rudolf Nureyev became the first Soviet artist to defect from the Soviet Union to the West during the Cold War, when he refused to return to the USSR after dancing while on tour in Paris.

The White Crow is a beautifully crafted passion-project, one that ends at with a crucial moment in a Paris airport when ballet changed forever.” THE REVIEWS HUB
