This is the new… website
Friday 6th November
While our doors have been closed, we’ve carried on work at pace and we've given our website a fresh new look. We hope you will find that it is brighter, more colourful, and easier to navigate and keep in touch, as well as to see what we're doing in the community with our commissioned artists and partners. We’re excited to show you our new ways to save and plan your evenings out with us, and all our most recent Covid-safety procedures are laid out in an easy to understand way so you can just relax and enjoy the show.
Maybe you're a regular visitor for our live music, love a play at Christmas or will always brave a cold night for a spot of Judi Dench chewing the scenery, but its all so much easier to see, to save and to be a social butterfly with our new more colourful, more personalisable What's On section!
The social organisers amongst us can save events to your basket to come back to later once you've rounded up your household and the forward-planners can keep them saved till the glowing reviews roll in. Speaking of reviews, we'll have a dedicated reviews page where we'll be cataloguing all the reviews for our upcoming guest productions, our current and past events as well as testimonials from you, our audience!
We want to continue to build in the future to make your experience the best it can be, which we can’t do without you. For those who’ve missed us, you can keep up-to-date with the latest projects, schemes and events, as well as the various ways you can join in, and support us, in our new Get Involved section. This will include information on how all kinds of people can get involved with the work we do at Taliesin, whether that's as members of the community, schools or Swansea University students looking to get more involved on campus. Get in touch with us to find out more.
We believe in the power of the arts to change lives, to inspire and encourage other’s own creativity and our brand new Blog section is where you can keep up with all things going on at Taliesin and in the wider arts world. We'll have guest blogs from our very own director Simon Coates, from practitioners in the community across disciplines and our exceptional guest artists and performers! We'll also have a taste from all corners of the arts world, with different perspectives on all manner of issues, from reacting to Covid-19 to programming our film choices for Black History Wales, as well as recommendations from our staff on some of their favourite events.
We've dedicated the Artists part of our website to our artists, to the work we're doing with them and ways for artists to get in touch with us, as well as a permanent home to celebrating our proudest works, from our Dance Days Festival, our work with Swansea primary schools in Primary Dance Project, in hosting Cromen digitally during the pandemic to Now The Hero, our 2018 pan-Swansea commemoration of the end of WW1. We also welcome your memories of time at Taliesin so make sure you’re following us on social media at Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to keep the conversation going.
We hope that the work we have done will make it easier for you to find what you are looking for. In particular, we have made changes to bring us up to date with the new standards for website accessibility which should make a visit to the website both a useful and enjoyable experience for all.
