Windsongs of the Blessed Bay tells the story of a blind young woman, Betrys, who sets sail from St Bride’s Bay in Pembrokeshire in pursuit of her grandfather’s dream, only to encounter Welsh worlds she never imagined in her bid to uncover the secret which haunts her past. Played by Gwawr Loader of S4C’s Cara Fi, the character of Betrys was developed with the help of Swansea University student Jasmine Metcalfe, who has been blind since birth.
Also in the cast are Aberaeron-born Meilyr Sion who has just returned to Wales after three years working on The Lion King in London and on international tour, Bethan Mai (Pobol y Cwm, Darn O Dir), Richard Nichols (Lucky Bag) and actor/puppeteer Heledd Gwynn.
