Welcome
Dancers and audiences alike braved the rain for another successful Taliesin Dance Days!
In spite of dreadful forecasts and some very heavy downpours; dancers and audiences alike braved the Swansea summer for almost seventy dance performances over the weekend as Taliesin Dance Days festival took place in the city for the 6th year.
Only three performances had to be cancelled due to the rain with some companies moving indoors, and others, such as Swansea’s own County Youth Dance Company, continuing regardless of torrential rain in a very brave final performance of their work, choreographed by Helen Parlor.
It wasn’t all soggy shoes and umbrellas however, as the sun shone down on Castle Square on Saturday afternoon for stunning performances by Axial Dance, Wired Aerial Theatre and Dance Days regulars, Motionhouse Dance Theatre.
As usual the National Waterfront Museum was jam-packed for the event, with visitors treated to a huge range of dance from street dance to contemporary and tap, to Korean, African and traditional Indian dance.
